The "eleven-two B" was generated by a 28-days-lasting reconstruction of the F0711-2.
Because of this radical decision, there was some fear, that the upcoming season could not become as successful as expected.
This sorrow soon turned out to be baseless: The 11-2B took part succesfully in three competitions in Silverstone (England), Hockenheim and Fiorano (Italy) and was at that time the most succesful German Formula Student car.
In May 2008 the F0711-2B entered its last competition, the Formula SAE Event at the Michigan International Speedway in the United States, which was like the Silverstone event in 2007 appointed to be FISITA Worldcup.
With a second place in the overall rating, the 11-2B continued its impressing series of success and could bring the vice world champion title to Stuttgart, only short time after its successor, the F0711-3, had been presented to the public.
